Our company occupies the largest single premises in the Village of Saltaire, West Yorkshire. Built between 1851 and 1872 as the brainchild of Sir Titus Salt it was the most famous of the Victorian 'model' villages. 'The Old Bank' Building, as it is now called, has been our home since 1974 and now combines our Insurance Brokerage and our local Bradford & Bingley Agency. |
Originally, the largest house in the village it was, at the time, occupied by the chief cashier of the famous Salts Mill along with his wife, children and servant. It is recorded that the annual rental of the property at
that time was in the region of £18! |
